3rd Grade Teachers

Amy Owens

3rd Grade Teacher

Hi, I'm Amy Owens! I have been teaching in Baldwin County for 30 years and am excited to begin my 20th year at Rosinton. I earned my B.S. in Family and Child Development from Auburn University and my M.Ed. from the University of South Alabama. For 24 of my 30 years in education, I've had the privilege of teaching third grade—a grade level I truly love!

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling to the Smoky Mountains, and relaxing at the beach. I am married, have three wonderful daughters, and a sweet fur baby named Kallie.

Laina Dees

3rd Grade Teacher

I am Mrs. Dees and I am beginning my ninth year at Rosinton. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Troy University and a Master of Education in Literacy from American College of Education. Throughout my time at Rosinton, I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. I am passionate about creating a positive, engaging classroom where every child feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to develop a lifelong love of learning. I especially enjoy working in the school's Habitat Learning Lab, where students can connect with nature through hands-on learning experiences.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our new baby, making memories on the boat, gardening, and caring for our two Boxers and two cats. I feel blessed to be part of the Rosinton family and look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growing, and making lasting memories with my students.
